Some comments from our original team of Beta testers are copied below. However, we need the support of more IFAs to test the system and to register with the Document Server to ensure that we have have found and ironed out any bugs and implemented suggested improvements prior to Official Launch.

Just a short note to say that I think that the system works great - I
have created a few PDF links and found that they work very easily and
smoothly.
To give you some speed feedback. I logged in, created a PDF, copied
the html and uploaded onto my server. I then searched my live product
database - found the product and downloaded the pdf file from the live
site together with my agency details and address overlaid, in a locked
PDF, in under a minute. Fantastic.
I only hope that you get other providers to buy in. As far as I am
concerned, this system will save me loads of time with not having to
change amend and upload revised PDF's. I can only assume it will save
providers time in 1) having to create branded individual pdf for each
IFA and 2) building their own systems to do what you are doing. Why
reinvent the wheel? I hope you can get more too buy in. I will be
more inclined to include providers products who work on this type of
system basis than not as it will save me time. Only having to do one
link and then you update - great.
With over 4m hits a month to one of the sites that we look after, this
is a better and more effective use of my time that I can now employ
elsewhere.

Hi Gordon Have had a play with the system and am impressed. There are a few typos which I am sure will be dealt with before it goes live but the sytstem itself seems to work well. General feedback: It is also very easy to use - I printed off the guide to help me work it out but didn't use it once as the instructions on screen are clear enough.(wasted paper!) If all providers join and add their documents the service will be an invaluable back office tool for IFAs. It will save me a lot of time phoning account managers and waiting for designers to personalise documents on our behalf. I hope it gets used to its fullest extent and eagerly await its real launch. This is an innovation that any sensible broker would demand. It will also answer the prayers of complience officers from Insurance and Investment companies up and down the land. Colin Campbell Director Garrison Investment Analysis Ltd. http://www.isachoice.co.uk |
Hi Gordon, The Document server is a great service for IFAs. The ability to log on, create a personalised PDF front page, print it off and to also have the ability for that new doc to be linked to our own web site is very useful for Direct Offers where the Product Provider may receive a form from the client direct and not know it had come from our site otherwise. What is so good is that it is all so quick and easy. It took me less than on minute to log on, personalise a Protection Proposal and have it printing off on my machine here. The emailed code for the link to our web site is easy for our Webmistress to use in the way we want. The reporting system that allows me to see how many times any of the Document server PDFs have been viewed through our site will make fascinating reading as time progresses. Just what we needed. I do hope that more of the product providers will sign up as soon as possible because the more we have access to, the more we can use in PDF, either on our site or simply to save storing uptodate paper copies. Hi Gordon, A very useful resource, especially so since I am fortunate (?) enough to have an ADSL connection to the net so my calls are "free". Finally, an easy to access resource full of proposals, brochures and kfd's will be very useful, particularly if the documents are always up to date. When we develop our website, links will also be very useful. Frank Dolan MLIA(dip) MIFP Walker Watson Financial Services |
